1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the G labs website (glabs.co.nz) and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Services

G labs provides vintage computer repair and restoration services, including but not limited to:

  • Logic board and analog board recapping
  • Floppy drive cleaning and restoration
  • Component replacement and upgrades
  • Sale of circuit kits and computer components
  • 3D printing services

3. Repair Service Terms

3.1 Quotes and Estimates

All repair quotes are estimates based on initial diagnosis. Final costs may vary if additional issues are discovered during repair. We will contact you for approval before proceeding with any work that exceeds the quoted amount.

3.2 Turnaround Time

Estimated turnaround times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to parts availability, complexity of repairs, or unforeseen circumstances.

3.3 Warranty

We provide a 90-day warranty on all repair work performed. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and parts installed during the repair. The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications
  • Wear and tear from normal use
  • Pre-existing conditions not addressed in the repair
  • Vintage components that may fail due to age

3.4 Customer Property

While we take every precaution to protect your equipment, G labs is not responsible for data loss, cosmetic damage to vintage equipment, or issues arising from pre-existing conditions. We strongly recommend backing up all data before sending equipment for repair.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Pricing

All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice.

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept payment via credit/debit card through Stripe. Payment is required before equipment is returned or products are shipped.

4.3 Diagnostic Fees

A diagnostic fee may apply if you decline to proceed with quoted repairs. This fee will be communicated before any diagnosis begins.

5. Shipping and Returns

5.1 Shipping

Customers are responsible for safely packaging and shipping equipment to our Dunedin location. We recommend insured shipping. G labs is not responsible for damage during transit to our facility.

5.2 Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed. We will package all returns securely.

5.3 Product Returns

Products purchased from our shop may be returned within 14 days of receipt if unused and in original packaging. Custom-ordered items and circuit kits are non-returnable. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, G labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or products. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service or product.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the G labs website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of G labs and protected by New Zealand and international copyright laws.

8. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
